Personal Presentation
Personal presentation through dress:
- Cultural or Religious Clothing - Ontario has laws preventing discrimination against you based on cultural and religion beliefs. If you prefer to wear a certain item of clothing, for example a Hijab, a Turban, a Kippah, or any other clothing item based on your cultural or religious practices to your interview, feel free to do so.
- Gender Identity and Gender Expression - Ontario laws ensure dress codes respect an individual’s gender identity and gender expression. Accommodating choices in clothing and general appearance is part of respecting the identity of individual gender identities and gender expressions.
- Disability - Under the code, the employer is responsible for accommodating the needs of a person with a disability. This could include accommodation in attire depending on the particular circumstances
