Have a specific job in mind but not sure how to get there? The Career Centre can help you research great opportunities, write an amazing résumé and cover letter, wow them at your next interview, and maximize social media to help you find and land a position that meets your needs. Let us help you develop the skills and confidence to get that job!

You've Got Skills! workshop

Not sure exactly what you have to offer an employer? You likely have more than you think! This workshop will help you identify and articulate your skills and accomplishments so you have great material for writing your résumé, and for talking about yourself during networking activities and interviews.

Being able to identify and articulate your skills is an essential part of a successful job search. This introductory workshop is an important starting point for all other Job Search workshops. In this workshop, you will identify the key skills and accomplishments that you have to offer and learn how to articulate them in your resumé, cover letter, and during networking and interview situations.

Translating a CV to a Résumé workshop (for Masters and PhD students)

This workshop is specially designed for Masters and Doctoral level students. In this workshop, you’ll understand the difference between a CV and a résumé and how each is intended for a different situation. You will also learn how to translate your academic CV into a résumé suitable for a non-academic job search.
