Volunteers at Ontario Shores provide a vital community link for patients. They inspire hope, enhance patient self-esteem, help eliminate stigma, and improve the quality of life for patients by sharing their time, knowledge, and generous hearts. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and volunteer for a variety of reasons.
Volunteers have been providing support and friendship to patients at Ontario Shores since 1966 and contribute approximately 10,000 hours of service annually. Volunteer activities and placements are established on patient care units when requested by staff and run in partnership with Volunteer Services to enhance programming.
