Starting out in 1976 as a collection of films from other festivals — a “festival of festivals” — the Toronto International Film Festival has become one of the most beloved cinematic events in the world, universally regarded as an ideal platform for filmmakers to launch their careers and to premiere their
new work.
TIFF is dedicated to presenting the best of international and Canadian cinema and creating transformational experiences for film lovers and creators of all ages and backgrounds.
As Canada's premiere home of cinema, TIFF offers screenings, lectures, discussions, festivals, workshops, events, professional development and opportunities to meet, hear and learn from filmmakers from Canada and around the world.
Our mission is to transform the way people see the world through film.

Recruiting for: We will be promoting recruitment for volunteering at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. TIFF Volunteers are primarily located at theatres during Festival. These range from scanning tickets at cinemas, helping to provide directional support to guests, and providing support with lines. Volunteers also assist at our various Industry venues, and at various other locations such as on Festival Street during the opening weekend of the Festival. Potential Volunteers fill out a general application, and then will be placed later upon acceptance into the Volunteer Programme.
