Since 1981 RMHC Toronto has served as a place to call home for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment. Our house is in downtown Toronto (240 McCaul Street) and accommodates 81 families. In order to be eligible for the house a family must be a minimum distance of 55 km away from the house, receiving medical treatment for a life-threatening or serious illness at SickKids or another local hospital and have a referral from a hospital social worker. We also have Family Rooms in five different hospitals across the GTA and Sudbury supporting families while patient is in hospital including The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids Hospital) , Health Sciences North, Scarborough Health Network, Credit Valley Hospital and Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital.
