Achev EmpowOUR our Youth for Engagement

EYE is a new program created to help youth become active members in improving our communities through volunteerism and community engagement. In order to provide them with the tools and skillset to accomplish this goal, we help youth network with members of parliament, tech gurus, entrepreneurs, banks like RBC & more to build connections and develop new skills. We help them enhance their knowledge in leadership, event planning, project coordination, marketing and outreach, technology, social media, web design, videography, entrepreneurship, financial Literacy, law, education, government, and politics & job preparatory skills through our weekly workshops. It is a free virtual program that is volunteer-based.
The core skills we focus on helping our youth develop include: Leadership, Focus, Upskilling (Digital & Soft Skills), Training, Personal Development, Mentorship, Networking, Sustainable Employment possibilities, Education, Community Action, Engagement, Civic Action. We will encourage our youth to take on projects of their choice (for example- cleaning up the city, mental health awareness, advocating to members of parliament about issues effecting youth etc) and they will work in teams with different stakeholders to get their voices heard and to meet their objectives. As our programming is fluid and malleable, we
identify the needs voiced by our participants and seek their feedback in every cohort to enhance our program and services.
