The role of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto is to offer support, information and education to people with dementia, their families and their caregivers, to increase public awareness of dementia, to promote research, and to advocate for services that respect the dignity of the individual.

Recruiting for: Teleconnect Program Volunteer to conduct regularly scheduled outreach calls and/or check in calls, providing practical tips and a friendly listening ear with the goal to build connections with socially isolated caregivers and people living with dementia. Volunteers may provide social support, engage in recreational programs over the phone, answer questions, and share more about AST program and service recommendations. - Respite Volunteer to provide short-term relief for the caregiver and engage meaningful activities for people with dementia. - Event Planning Committee Members for upcoming Walk for Alzheimer’s in May. Seeking committee members for various Walk locations (Christie Pits, Beaches, Etobicoke, Scaborough and North York). Each committee will gather to meet on a regular basis from January through to May to plan their individual Walk location including event day logistics, activation, sponsorship volunteers and more. - Event day volunteers for Walk for Alzheimer’s on May 27, 2023.
