The Learning Disabilities Association of York Region (LDAYR) is a charitable non-profit organization which was established in 1976. We provide leadership in Learning Disabilities advocacy, research, education and services, and strive to advance the full participation of children, youth and adults with Learning Disabilities (LD) in society.

Recruiting for: The Learning Disabilities Association of York Region is recruiting for Online Volunteer Tutors. The position entails a commitment of 1-2 hours per week, where volunteers will tutor students with a Learning Disability and/or ADHD on a virtual one-on-one basis (using a platform of their choice, e.g. Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, etc.) Tutors are matched with students on a one-on-one basis, according to their availability and subject preferences (e.g. math, English, sciences). As a benefit, we offer tutors professional development training sessions, monthly, where they have the opportunity to network with their peers, education professionals, and receive training on relevant topics, such as, “engaging learners in an online environment,“ and “understanding Learning Disabilities and ADHD.”
