Emergency Management Ontario (EMO) is part of the Ministry of the Solicitor General, within the Ontario Public Service. EMO develops plans, strategies and guidance to provide for greater operational response, prepare for emergencies as well as mitigate risks that may affect the people of Ontario and government operations. EMO, through the Provincial Emergency Operations Centre (PEOC) coordinates the government’s response to emergencies.
