University of Toronto - Department of Medical Biophysics

The department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto offers interdisciplinary research-focused graduate studies at both the Masters (MSc) and Doctoral (PhD) level. The MSc program is a common entry point, but the emphasis is on the PhD program.

Research principally takes place in the biomedical and cancer research institutes of the major teaching hospitals, and not on the University campus. These include the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Research Institute, the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute, Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, Rotman/Baycrest Research Institute, the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute and the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research.
