UMHS is a boutique medical school that prepares doctors for practice in the US and Canada. It prioritizes quality education and offers a small school environment. The school holds full accreditation from the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM), which follows U.S. standards. The ACCM is recognized by the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) and the U.S. Department of Education. It adheres to the Liaison Committee of Medical Education's (LCME) Standards for Accreditation, authorized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit medical schools in the U.S. and Canada.
