Self-Awareness for Goal Setting

Learn to set goals that align with your values and aspirations.

Maximizing Opportunities

Leverage experiences, build connections, and navigate challenges for success.

Showcasing Skills

Effectively present your skills and achievements across different contexts.

Please Note: While Becoming YU is designed to be self-driven in which students set goals which they work toward by gaining experiences and building key competencies throughout their time at York, the key to success is reflection – taking the time to make meaning of their experiences and skills development. Therefore we encourage students to check-in regularly with a supervisor, mentor or coach to receive guidance and support and encourage accountability.

Employer Recruitment Sessions

Every year employers from select industries – including technology, accounting, finance and sales and marketing, come to York University's campus to share recruitment opportunities with York students and new graduates. Connect with employers to help answer your questions about career opportunities, employee and organizational culture, what skills and experience they're seeking and how you can apply.

What can I expect at an Employer Recruitment Session?

Presentation from Employer

Sessions typically begin with a presentation by the employer about the organization and its employment opportunities.
