Personal Presentation
Personal presentation through dress:
Cultural or Religious Clothing - Ontario laws protect you from discrimination based on your cultural or religious beliefs. If you prefer to wear specific clothing, such as a hijab, turban, kippah, or other items reflecting your cultural or religious practices during an interview, you have the right to do so.
Gender Identity and Gender Expression - Ontario’s laws also protect your right to dress according to your gender identity and expression. Dress codes must respect and accommodate the choices individuals make regarding their gender presentation.
Disability Accommodations - Employers are required to accommodate individuals with disabilities, including adjustments to attire, where necessary, under Ontario’s Human Rights Code.
