The Department of Molecular Genetics is an internationally acclaimed venue for biomedical & life sciences research at the University of Toronto. Over 300 graduate students are enrolled in our top-flight research M.Sc. and Ph.D. Programs. Cutting-edge research in the labs of our over 100 faculty provides an enormous breadth and depth of expertise and training. Incoming students are exposed to this via a rotation system that ensures they find a research home that closely matches their interests. We offer quantitative and computational biology PhD tracks for students with a solid grounding in the physical and computer sciences.
