Recruiting for: HOST A host is an individual ideally from the neighbourhood or community who has expressed an interest in getting to know a child or youth with a disability. Host relationships have the potential to provide typical experiences, create mutual friendship, provide a safe social network and provide respite that friendships have the potential to create. So often whereas society tends to see the disability, in a host or friendship relationship, one sees the person and his or her strengths. The frequency, in which people get together, depends on everyone involved.
