Battle River School Division is focused on high quality teaching, to ensure optimum student learning. Support of new teachers is provided through ongoing mentorship programs for the first two years of employment, including both one-on-one and group settings. Professional development of all staff is also a priority, with approximately two days of collaboration and education offered each month. Battle River School Division is located in east central Alberta, a short distance from major urban centres and includes 35 schools in small to medium-sized communities. There are opportunities for teachers to serve at a variety of grade levels; in academics and fine arts, CTS and co-curricular programs; and, potentially in either English or French Immersion.  We employee 400 teachers who provide instruction to 6000 students.
