Youth Without Shelter (YWS) is an emergency residence and referral agency serving homeless youth. We are dedicated to providing shelter and support programs for homeless youth ages 16­-24. We provide an independent shelter, committed to diverse client ­focused services, in a safe, non­judgmental environment. Our programs enable youth to live responsibly and independently in society.

Recruiting for: We will be looking for volunteers who would be interested in a number of different ways to contribute whether this be onsite or offsite initiatives. For onsite initiatives such as serving a meal or tutor please note that there is an age restriction.

Skills: There are countless ways to contribute and get involved in helping support our shelter. Skills vary by opportunity - tutoring, for example. However, above all, we are looking for volunteers with a commitment to social justice and those who are incentivized in making a change in their community.

How to prepare: Note for those interested in tutoring at the shelter: We do ask all onsite volunteers to be the minimum age of 25. If you are interested in becoming a tutor, please feel free to bring a resume and your contact information. For any other inquiries, we ask that students and prospective volunteers stop by to say hello!
