Canada Revenue Agency - Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

Please note: Not all employers provided information about their positions and application processes. Please visit their websites for more details.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is a collaboration between community organizations and the Canada Revenue Agency. Through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, community organizations across Canada host free tax preparation clinics where volunteers do tax returns for eligible people. A free tax clinic is a place where eligible people who have a modest income and a simple tax situation can go to get their tax returns done for free. Volunteers complete tax returns for eligible people who have a modest income and a simple tax situation, help direct taxpayers, or assist other volunteers. You can volunteer as often as you want. The busiest time is tax season, from the end of February to early May, but many people need help throughout the year.
