St. Felix Centre was formally established in 1993 (renovated in 1999) and became a registered charity in 2003.
Today St Felix Centre is a multi-service community centre located in Downtown Toronto that serves a wide range of clients including adults, seniors, recent immigrants and individuals who are experiencing poverty, trauma, violence, abuse, malnutrition, mental illness, addiction and homelessness.

Skills: Clothing Bank • Follow hygiene and grooming rules • Under the direction of the program manager distribute clothes and toiletries as required. • Receive clothing, organize and catalogue what we have. • Work with social support workers who identify specific needs of individuals. • Keep records of clothes and toiletries distributed. • Take notes of the items which are not in stock and place orders. • Work cheerfully, quickly and in a team with other volunteers. Meals Program • To greet and serve meals to the guests; • Work together with supervisors to ensure all guests are “checked in” and to share the load of dealing with people who need the most time and attention; • Greet guests, seat them, and engage with them in a friendly and helpful way; • Where possible provide help, information and guidance to guests. This may include advice on getting clothes or supplies or in providing a referral or advice on how to get other services; • Maintain control of the dining room to ensure safety and comfort of all; Ensure that staff are aware of any incidents or situation that arise during the meal program; • After the meal is over (and as it's ending) help to organize tables, clean, sweep the dining room etc.
