Toby's Place

Toby's Place is drop-in program for LGBTQ+ youth. We will be open each Monday afternoon from 3pm-8:30pm for community, connection, discussion, and support. Each week there will be a communal meal, as well as a workshop or activity. All LGBTQ+ youth, their friends, and allies under age 23 are welcome.

Recruiting for: We are looking for people to help prepare the weekly meal, be a supportive presence in the space, or provide a workshop, activity, program, etc. one week.

Skills: LGBTQ+ positive, anti-oppressive, reliable, able to connect with youth.

Where positions are posted: We will post these on our social media pages, as well as on the Volunteer Toronto website.

Application method: They can email us at tobys.place33@gmail.com and we will send them a volunteer form. Once a form is completed they also need to provide a vulnerable sector police record check (the cost for this will be reimbursed upon being chosen as a volunteer).

How to prepare: They could bring a short written statement about themselves, their skills/ experience, and why they want to volunteer with us.
