Ahsan MirzaAssociate, McMillan LLP
JD, Osgoode Hall Law School, 2010
I am an associate lawyer at McMillan LLP in the Financial Services group. My legal practice focuses on banking, secured and syndicated lending, project finance and infrastructure. I advise both lenders and borrowers on domestic, cross-border and international financing transactions. I also have extensive involvement in project development and financing in the renewable energy and electricity generation sector, particularly in connection with the Ontario Power Authority's Feed-in Tariff (FIT) program.
I joined McMillan as a summer student in 2009 and completed my articles in 2011. At law school, I was the Managing Editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and President of the Muslim Law Students Association. Before Osgoode, I studied Political Science and Economics at Carleton University.
