Professional Development & Training in Medicine & Health

Professional development and training may include specific courses, workshops and training, additional certification(s) or professional memberships that you may obtain at the same time as you complete your degree or after you graduate. Gaining hands-on professional experience is a great way to clarify your career desires, build your professional contacts, and build your employment experience.

York/Seneca Rehabilitation Services Certificate: This program is open to students in their second or third year of a psychology degree program at York. Graduates of the program receive a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from York University and a joint York/Seneca Certificate in rehabilitation services from Seneca College.

York University - Athletic Therapy Certificate: This certificate can be earned in conjunction with the Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) options in kinesiology and health science. This certificate is open to current York students or non-York students who already hold a university degree.

York University - Certificate in Infant Mental Health: The program is directed to those interested in working effectively in the field of infant development, prevention and/or early intervention with infants with special needs, and with infants living in high-risk environments.
