Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF): this organization provides business assistance to Canadian youth. Look in the Entrepreneurs section for information on obtaining loans and getting connected with a mentor.
Canadian Franchise Association: the CFA promotes excellence in franchising and educates Canadians about franchising and specific franchise opportunities through its many events, programs and publications.
Invest Ottawa: carries out initiatives which help businesses develop and grow. Their Business Acceleration division provides services ranging from helping budding entrepreneurs get their small business ideas off the ground, to an innovation acceleration service for technology companies.

The Canadian Social Entrepreneurship Foundation: a social entrepreneur is someone who wishes to organize, create, and manage a venture to make social change. The CSEF facilitates access to grants, information and contacts for budding social entrepreneurs.
