Professional development and training may include specific courses, workshops and training, additional certification(s) or professional memberships that you may obtain at the same time as you complete your degree or after you graduate. Centennial College - Book and Magazine Publishing (Graduate Certificate): a unique one-year program for students wishing to pursue a career in publishing. In this program, formal learning is complemented with an industry field placement at a book or magazine publisher in Toronto.

Centennial College - Corporate Communications and Public Relations (Graduate Certificate): directed to students who want to get connected to the PR industry. The program emphasizes hands-on project work and concludes with a two-month internship.

Seneca College - Broadcasting - Radio (Diploma): offers pre-professional training in radio production and the presentation skills necessary for careers as a Radio Announcer, Radio Station Disc Jockey, Music Programmer, Radio Script Writer or Radio Broadcaster.

Seneca College - Creative Advertising (Diploma): recommended for students who are interested in the coordination and creation of effective advertising and marketing communications.
