Employer Recruitment Sessions

On Wednesday January 23rd, 2019 at 1:00PM, there will be an employer networking event specific to students enrolled in the Internship Program through the YU Experience Hub. All job seekers are encouraged to attend, especially those looking for Summer and/or Fall 2019 internship opportunities.

You can expect to meet with the following employers:

• Allstate Corporation [Insurance company]
• BlackBerry
• Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)
• Celestica Inc.
• CGI Group
• Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)

Light refreshments will be served!
Come prepared to learn more about each company that will be represented. Furthermore, you will have a chance to speak with recruitment managers and HR professionals both one-on-one and in group settings!

How should students prepare for the Information Session?On the day of the event, students are encouraged to:

  • Dress up (as if attending a job interview)
  • Bring several copies of their resume (employers know to expect these)

Note: This is not a job fair. You will not necessarily be hired on the spot. However, this event will help your resume stand out from the competition and get noticed by awesome employers!

Have some questions prepared for each employer to assist with the networking piece and confidence to engage with employers. It would be a good idea to bring a notebook, pen and/or other writing utensils!

Bring a smile and a positive attitude! After all, first impressions count when it comes to employment!

Registration is required. You may register for this event on the Career Centre’s online system (you must sign up for an account before you will be able to register for any events on the system).
