As an engineering-oriented university with distinctive characteristics, it is located in the beautiful Chinese historic and cultural city - Zhenjiang City in Jiangsu Province. JUST is a provincially key university, recognized excellence in undergraduate teaching performance evaluation by China's Ministry of Education and included in the Education Ministry's Training Program for Outstanding Engineers.
JUST now has three campuses in Zhenjiang in the city's east, south and west respectively and another campus in Zhenjiang City, offering 59 undergraduate programs in 15 schools. It also boasts 1 center for post-doctoral studies, 2 doctoral degree Level-1 disciplines, 6 doctoral degree programs, 12 master's degree Level-1 disciplines, and 48 master's degree programs. There are currently about 2,030 faculty members, including 1,230 full-time teachers, 167 professors and 576 associate professors. JUST enrolls students across China and now has about 22,200 regular undergraduate and 3,000 postgraduates (including candidates of professional degrees) on campus. The Chinese People's Liberation Army has set up a reserve officer selection and training office in JUST, with approximately 200 national-defense students on campus now.
