York Co-op Program

The York Co-op Program (currently in pilot phase) is a course of study in which the academic experience is closely integrated with a series of work term experiences. Students receive enhanced preparation for their first work term through a Professional Communications course and also reflect on their work term learning through a specially designed course in Professional Development.

The York Co-op Program is currently available to students in:

  • Biochemistry
  • Biotechnology
  • Chemistry
  • Environmental Biology
  • Environmental Science

York Internship Program

The York Internship Program is an optional experiential education program that provides students with the opportunity to engage in a four, eight, twelve or sixteen month internship.

Full time third year students in the following programs are eligible for the internship program:

  • Accounting
  • Astronomy
  • Biophysics
  • Business & Society
  • Communication Studies
  • Economics
    (including Financial and Business Economics)
  • Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Information Technology
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • Physics
  • Public Administration
